Series to be held in the Future?
With the success of the 2008/9 series we are looking at developing another series in 2010. When this comes to fruition the Association will market the series to the membership.

EMPLOYMENT PROBLEM SOLVING ROADSHOW COMING YOUR WAY SOON
In a single week’s trading you will make hundreds of decisions that will impact on your business. Some of these decisions will be simple and cause you no stress at all; some however will be more complex, particularly those that involve your staff in particular the “hire and fire” decisions. We have identified the most critical and risky decision-making areas for retailers. We have prepared guidelines and procedures that we believe will enable you to make your difficult decisions with less risk or even avoid the problem completely by taking the right action at an earlier point.
Join Roy Hanrahan, Employment Relations Advisor with the New Zealand Retailers Association on this workshop, as he explains the Employment Relations Act and takes you through your obligations as an employer, while outlining the best practice in recruiting and managing employees.
